For this week’s Game review, I reviewed a game called Ark: Survival evolved. This is a 1st person adventure and survival game where a player attempts to survive whilst dinosaurs live beside them.
When I first loaded this game, I realised that there was a survival guide. This told me the basics of what each section of the game did, like the HUD crafting, chests, and building. After I read the survives guide, I went into a match. There were 5 options; Host a public game, join a public game, host a local game, join a local game, or play solo. This is really good because it meant that players could play with other people, heir friends or on their own. This meant that people would enjoy the game even more because they can play how they like. I created a solo game and went right into it. Once I loaded in, I was without a guide on what to do, this make it quite hard to get started. After my 1st night of getting hypothermia and dying, I started getting the hang of the game. I found the controls and objective really easy o use and follow once I knew what I was doing. I also realised that although some dinosaurs attach you, in the later game, you can get a saddle and ride the dinosaurs and treat them like pets. This is a really cool feature because it meant that you could look after a dinosaur.
Overall, I would rate this game 4/5 stars.
