For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called ‘Happy wars’. In this game, you have to attempt to raid another castle. This could be on your own or with some teammates.

When I first loaded this game, I was advised to follow the tutorial. This then led into a practise game where I could get some practise. Whilst the game was loading, the screen showed all of the controls. This is really cool because you don’t have to search anywhere to see the essentials. After playing the tutorial mode, I played a few more games but with ai bots. This was a game where we had to attack their base. I found that there were unlimited respawns at towers that I concurred (this meant I couldn’t lose). I then tried a few games of castle vs castle (this was also with ai bots). This mode seemed to give me a better team all the time, so we attacked them, but they didn’t attack our base.
One of the main downsides of this game is that everything takes so long to load. This is really annoying because I just wanted to be able to get into my match. In addition, the game seemed to be that I could never loose. In the players vs castle game mode, I had unlimited respawned and the enemies kept the same health and didn’t regain. This meant that I could keep on respawning to kill them all. In the castle vs castle mode, my teammates captured the middle tower and delt a lot of damage to the castle whilst I just looked at our castle. This means that I could farm wins by being ‘AFK’.
Overall, I would rate this game 3.5/5 stars. This is because the game was really good but the speed and fact that I couldn’t lose just took a lot of the fun out of it.
