For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called “MechWarriors 5: Mercenaries”. This is a shooter game where a player can work to fight for objectives and take down the enemy.

When I first leaded this game up, it asked me if I wanted to play coop or solo. I chose solo. When it loaded, I was then asked if I would like a tutorial of the game or no. It told me that the tutorial is recommended but I didn’t have to push it. I chose to have the tutorial. This showed me exactly what to do and how to use my mech. After each practice stage, my leader would move to the gate of the next area. I was allowed to stay in the training areas for as long as I wanted so I could practice. This was really good because it didn’t make the tutorial feel like it was ruching you. This also really helped you to learn the controls. After my tutorial, I was brought to the garage. This contained all my mechs. I only had 2 but you can buy more with in game points which are earned from missions. One of my mechs was being fixed so I took the 2nd. After my 1st match, I then realised, you have to wait a while for your mechs to fix before you can play again. This was realistic but annoying because I didn’t have any other mechs so I couldn’t play. When you can unlock many machines, you will be able to use others whilst your last one fixes but at the start, the fixing of mechs makes you wait a while.
Overall, I would rate this game 4/5 stars.
