For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called astroneer. This is a exploring and survival game where the player has to attempt to survive on another planet.
When I fist leaded his game, it asked me if I wanted to do a tutorial. I chose to but there was th option to decline. This brought up a screen that showed me all the controls. After I had read through the list I continued on. I was brought to a cinematic which they lead me into the game. This was a really cool feature because it meant that I knew the background story of how I got to where I was. This made he story made sense. After the cinematic, I was in the game. I was given objectives to do but there wasn’t really guidance to complete them. This became tricky later in the game. I found that I had to set oxygen supply up in order to breathe. The game helped me to know where to go whilst I placed oxygen tethers down so that I had a source of oxygen. I was that given a tool. This tool had 3 uses; mining, building, loot gathering. After it taught me how to use the tool, I was left without a mission for a few minutes. In this time, I could practice with my tool to get used to it. After that, I was given an objective. I had to make a bridge. I tied to use my tool to build but that was disabled. His was very confusing because I didn’t know hope to progress onwards.
Overall, I would rate this game 3/5 stars because I is a great game but can get very confusing.
