So the trailer for Warzone Season 5 looked awesome and the rumours surrounding what it was going to bring filled us all with hope that the game would be revolutionised after being relativity unchanged for the last 4 seasons.
The opening of “Stadium” was always going to make it a hot drop zone, as it pretty much the only big map change we have had with the exception of the bunker side game. Our first drop in and it was expected, seeing the amount of people dropping and me being a bit of a coward i opted to get straight into a chopper and take back off again. I tried to rescue Shane but failed although i did squash the other guy. Ultimately after a tour of the map and a relatively dull game we died spectacularly in a stupid move that will live with us for the next 5 – 10 minutes before being forgotten again. We then decided to check out the not so looty loot train, there are 4 orange boxes on there and i think 2 standard boxes but the weapons where not great and it is again a fairly big draw for people. We quickly left the train and went and grabbed our own load out’s, only to die before really using them. The train is a nice little addition however at the minute it seems a little lacking although hopefully that will change with time.
We did fall lucky and managed to grab a red access card but the bunker had been looted already and by the time we went to a second location looking for it we basically go decimated from a scumbag with an RPG above.
The biggest question initially is where are the tanks that where rumoured for Warzone? What is the blue glowing light under the ice?
After 4 seasons we really hoped that the map would have a significant change to it and although opening up the dead space that was stadium it feels very much like they have done the minimum that they could to liven the map up a little. Lets hope the rumours of a mid season event are true and that the map gets some more significant changes. Of the 3 trips to the gulag this evening i had a pistol each time, i really hope that isn’t going to be the ongoing trend for the season.
Anyway it sounds like i am complaining about the season and i’m not really, just a little disappointed that more could have been done to entice me to keep playing it and spending cash on the various packs that i have purchased.
