For this week’s Free game Sunday, I reviewed a game called Defiance. This is a third person shooter game where teammates can assist your mission.
When I loaded this game, I was brought straight into a tutorial which then lead me to the main game. The tutorial told me everything that I needed to know in order to progress with the game. As soon as I started, I saw that the graphics were great. The game looked really nice and didn’t have areas that were not loaded properly. This game allows its player to pick their next mission to complete. The missions are along a long road where you can watch other players completing theirs. If I was struggling on my mission and another player sees me, they can choose to help me for as long as they want. This doesn’t affect my mission (except making it easier) which is good because everyone can work together. This feature was great because the experienced players could help the noob players progress. This brings all the players together. Weapons can be upgraded by killing an enemy. Sometimes, they will then drop a weapon that a player can equip and use. There are also power ups in the game. My character had a speed powerup so I could sprint around.
Overall, I rated this game 5/5 stars because it has great graphics and is an overall great game.
