For this week’s Free Game Sunday, I reviewed a game called Darwin Project. This is a 3rd person shooter where players compete in a battle royal style game.
When I loaded this game, I was brough straight into a tutorial. This taught me how to play the game and was very detailed. I then got he option to play multiplayer or practice. I played practice and I choose the easy difficulty. The ai bots were not terrible but they also didn’t destroy me. This is good because it helps me to play a bit better. There are 3 classes that a player can choose between, each can be edited outside of a match. These each had different abilities and features. I also saw that the graphics were great. There wasn’t any lag and the whole game ran very smoothly. At the end of a match, a payer is rewarded for all their stats (not just their placement). This is good because if someone works hard all game but comes 2nd, they still have a good reward.
When I went into a multiplayer match, I waited around 5 minutes and then left the section because out lobby only had 8/10 players. If they had a time limit until a match starts, this wouldn’t be bad but with only 8 players, we couldn’t play.
Overall, I would rate this gave 4.5/5 stars because the multiplayer lobbies didn’t auto fill/auto start.
