For this week’s Free Game Sunday, I reviewed a game called Phantom Dust. This is a shooter game with a campaign storyline. When I loaded the game in, I was asked if I wanted to do a tutorial. I chose yes and continued. The tutorial taught me a lot about the game, so I was ready to play. I started in a bunker where I could walk around and chat to the others. Some people were blocking paths because I was new and now experienced enough whilst some told me where to go. I found the person who lets you fight, and we spoke. I was then ready to go fight. When I got to the battle area, there was an enemy which started its attack. I then killed him with 3 shots, but the round was over.
Every time I went to fight, there would only be 1 enemy and they would be very weak. This meant I was always going to win with no challenge. I also started to realise that everyone was saying a lot. Every time I spoke to them, they said a whole paragraph. This meant there was not a lot of gameplay but a lot of talking. I then did the missions to fast, so I had to wait before continuing. This was annoying because I wanted to play but there was nothing to do.
