For this week’s free game Sunday, I reviewed a game called ‘heavy Metal Machines’. This is a car game where players can compete to get a ball around the track to score in the enemies goal.
When I went into my first match, I saw that there were many cars I could use. Some were locked as I needed to level up before I unlocked them. I picked a car and went into the game. The enemy team had 1 player using a truck. For me this was locked so they were an experienced player. They could take all of my shots easily and 1 shot me. On my 2nd and 3rd match, the enemy team also had the truck. The truck was to overpower and could just grab the ball and guarantee a win for the enemy team. Although the enemies would have fun, the team against the trucks would have a terrible time knowing they had definitely lost. That was the only 1 overpowered car so they could nerf it. I managed to get the ball and then I realised that the player with the ball has to go all around the track whereas everyone else could take shortcuts. This was also great as players can catch up with whoever has the ball.
Overall, I would rate this game 3/5 stars.
