Hello everyone, welcome to day number one of Red attempting to survive 100 days in a ‘Hardcore One Block’ survival world. For those of you who are unsure, a hardcore world is a world that doesn’t allow you to respawn upon death… If I die the series ends!!!! To add to the challenge even further, I will be surviving on only one block. Essentially, throughout this series, I will be using the special blocks within the world that cycle through items to gather my resources. I can then utilise these resources to make farms – just like a regular survival world.
So, within day number one, I have gathered by basic gear, that consists of stone tools, and some resources that I can use for future builds within the series. After cycling through the special block resources several times, I had been provided with two water buckets, this instantly gave me the idea to make an infinite water source. Without this, I could risk running out of water – this also acted as our very first micro farm. Although, you already know, I couldn’t just build a basic water source in the ground, I had to build a well to surround it – it was functional too… not just for the aesthetics.

Following this, I had concluded that I needed to move onto the next special block, this would allow me to gather ores that can help acquire resources faster. However, I had a problem… I was running low on building blocks. This gave me the idea to create my next semi-automatic farm, being a cobble stone generator – remember this is all from starting on one block! Despite forgetting how to build a cobblestone generator, I eventually got there and created one, allowing me to gather enough cobble stone to build over to the next special block.

My aspirations for day number two, are that I need to form a source of food, I am currently running rather low on food and need a farm to make sure that I don’t die to starvation…. That would be an awful ending to the series already now wouldn’t it! As well as this, I plan to form a basic storage system as I am very unorganised at the moment with the amount of mass resources, I have in one double chest. This will be followed by a small build surrounding it to add to the aesthetics.
I hope you guys all enjoy day number one of this one hundred-day series, let me know any ideas of build you would like to see my build on my one block survival world. Also, don’t forget, I will be picking the best names suggested by you in the comments to name my lamas!
