For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called outriders. This is a 3rd person shooter game where players complete a story. Players can play solo or with friends. This game is included with game pass for Xbox.
When I first loaded this game, I was asked to choose and cust0omise my character. I could fully change my skin, scars, piercings and much more. This was really cool because it meant your character could be unique and you would like your character. There was also a section where players could get a random character for if they can’t decide or don’t mind. After I had chosen my character, I was brought to the play menu. It gave me a warning that cross play isn’t fully working so it is temporarily disabled. Although this wasn’t good, it was good that they had noticed the bug and have but a temporary fix for whilst it gets patched. I then pushed play and was brought to a menu where I could pick my character class. There were 4 options, each with different skills and weaknesses. This was really cool because players could have a character which fits their playstyle and characters could be even more personalized. I then went into the story. When I started, I was brought straight to an introduction/ tutorial which told me the back story of my mission, but it also taught me exactly how to play. They tutorial was very simple but effective which is good because it meant it was easy to understand but it didn’t b=miss out any controls. After I went into my mission, I saw that the graphics were great and there were no in game bugs. The game was really enjoyable and not to easy. I found that the difficulty was not very hard but also not very easy. This is good because a game becomes unenjoyable when it is too easy or too hard.
Overall, I would rate this game 5/5 stars.
