For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called DayZ. This is a survival game where a player is living and trying to survive through a zombie apocalypse.
When I loaded this game p, I was brought to a menu where I could customise my character. This was really cool because it meant that everyone was unique. With this, you could customise you characters gender, face, cloths, hair and much more. All the options were unlocked for everyone so everyone could get whatever character they wanted. In addition, you could name you character.
After changing my appearance, I could they choose if I wanted a tutorial or not. I chose to take it. His was a cinematic that showed me the whole backstory of the game and how to play. It also game me tactics of what to do and not to do whilst still showing me how to play. This was really good because I meant that I knew the whole backstory of how I got to that situation.
The graphics on this game wee really good. Everything looked clear, smooth and realistic. His was good because it made the game look nice. Although this was only use during the day. At night, they game looked pitch black and there was no setting to increase brightness. His became very annoying at times because it was nearly impossible to see. I is possible to get a torch but a new player doesn’t have that and so they can’t see for a few nights.
In addition, this game allowed players o to create or join servers for free. His was very good because it meant that a friend could play with another. There was also an option to add a password so other online players couldn’t join you game.
Overall, I would rate this game 4/ stars because the night time is very difficult for a new player.
