For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called Worms Rumble. This is a 3rd person shooter game where players compete in game modes to complete the objectives and defeat the enemy.
When I loaded this game up, I was asked if i wanted to complete the tutorial. It recommended that I do complete it, but the option was there. I chose to do it. This tutorial was very good and taught me exactly how to play without rushing me. when I was working my way through it, there were many sections. Each section would teach you a new control. In addition, you could stay in a section for as long as you wanted so there wasn’t any rush to get through it.
Whilst I was playing this game, I realised that I couldn’t hear any game sound. I then went to the settings menu and adjusted audio. I set it to max, but it was still very hard to hear. I even tried restarting the game, but it made no difference. This was really bad because it meant that there was basically no game audio.
The graphics in this game are very good. Everything looks nice whilst fitting the theme of the game. Even custom items look very good quality.
This game has a lot of cosmetic items. When you play a match, you gain xp based on objectives, kills and wins. This then contributes to your total xp. Every time you level up, you will gain more cosmetic items. In addition, you can upgrade weapons and unlock more for them. This system is very good because it means that players don’t get an advantage over new players, but they still get a nice reward for playing and doing well,
There are many game modes with parties enabled. This means that you could play this game with your friends. This is very good because it means that people can play with other people that they want to.
In addition, this game has cross play. This means that a PlayStation user, Xbox user and pc user could all play in the same match if they wanted to. This is very good because it doesn’t exclude anyone from the party. Although there is this feature, players do get the option to have it on/off. This is very good because some players believe that different devices gives advantages and so they might deem it as unfair.
Overall, I would rate this game 4/5 stars because the game sound is extremely quiet even when at max volume.
