For this week’s Game Review, I reviewed a game called Farming Simulator 19. This is a simulator game where the player owns a farm and tries to make a profit.

When I first loaded this game, I saw that I could play on career mode, multiplayer, or tutorial. I went to tutorial and then I went to the career mode. Players could play with random people or people that they know using the multiplayer mode. This was good because people could work together to progress.

The tutorial was split into parts. There were different tutorials for each machine and what to do with them. This was good because if you get stuck, you can watch a tutorial on the task that you are doing instead of having to watch the whole tutorial again. I did the tutorials for the basic tractors and machines because that is what I would most likely start my farm with. If I ever got stuck, I could have gone and watched the next one so that I know what to do and how to do it. The tutorials were very good and taught me exactly how to play the game. The let the player do what they liked whilst it also told you your mission. This helped me to learn because it told me controls and what to do but It didn’t tell me that I had failed if I went diagonal across my field. Instead, it just told me to try go in lines as straight as you can.

This game had many different tractors and attachments. There was a store where the player could buy tractors and attachments (these were rated worst to best). The ratings showed the player how good the machine that they were saving up for was. This was really good because it meant that the player could see how much of a benefit, they would get from buying something. In addition, players could select brand mode. This meant that if you liked a certain brand, you could select to buy parts from only that brand. This was very cool because it meant that everyone’s tractors, parts and experiences would be different. When buying tractors, the player could customise them with a small cost. This meant that you could upgrade its engine, change its colour, or even change the wheel size. This was very cool because everyone would have different experiences.

When I loaded the campaign mode, the game showed me the short but helpful tutorial. This was very good because it meant that I could see exactly how to play. This also meant that if I didn’t understand the other tutorials, I could use this one. This tutorial taught the same thing as the tutorial I had already done but it taught me in a different way. It wasn’t the exact same tutorial even though it was getting the same message across. This shows that the developers really tried with the game.

In addition, you could fully customise how your character looked. This included gender, facial features, clothes and even body shape. This was really cool because it meant that everyone could have different characters and could be customised.

Overall, I would rate this game 5/5 stars.
