For this week’s game review, I reviewed a game called Call of the sea. This is an adventure and puzzle game.
When I loaded in, I saw that there wasn’t a tutorial. This was very unfortunate because it meant that I had to guess the controls. This wasn’t too bad at first but it got very difficult to play the game later on. This is because there were new machines that were complicated to use. The basic controls were easy to find out, but the complete ones were very annoying.
When I had learned some controls, I started trying to play the game and complete some challenges. I got stuck after a few mins and then I realised that there isn’t a guide. This means that if the player has no clue of what to do, they can’t read anything to help them or something to give them a pus in the right direction. This would be really cool because it would help the players out whenever they get stuck.
The graphics on this game were very good and made everything look super nice and realistic. This was really good because the game was running very smoothly. In addition, there was also a slider in the settings menu to change the graphics. This was a very good feature because it means that players can change the game quality depending on lag and how good their device is.
This game also have a main story line which the player can follow. Your husband has gone missing on an island. He went on the island to create a cure for a virus that you (and many others) have. Your goal is to find your husband and bring the cure to the rest of the world, saving yourself and all of humanity.
There was also a notebook feature. This meant that if you found a clue at the start, it would automatically save into your book. This was really good because it meant the player didn’t need to repeatedly go back to remember the old clues.
Overall, I would rate this game 3/5 stars.
